The Stockholm School of Economics in Riga was founded in 1994 by the Stockholm School of Economics with the support of the Swedish government and Latvia's Ministry of Education, and since 2010 it has been owned by a foundation established by SSE, the University of Latvia and the SSE Riga Alumni Association. Small by design and reportedly highly selective, it teaches its curriculum entirely in English through group work, case studies and summer internships, and together with its Stockholm mother school it has been consistently ranked the top business school in Latvia and among the best in Europe.
