The Prague University of Economics and Business traces its roots to the Vysoká škola obchodní, a business school established in 1919 as a department of the Czech Technical University; renamed the University of Economics in 1953, it was deeply reformed in 1989 after the Velvet Revolution and adopted its current international name in 2020.
