Copenhagen Business School was established in 1917 by the Danish Society for the Advancement of Business Education (FUHU), a private body whose influence shaped the school for decades. Accounting became its first full study programme by 1920, the school gained independence in 1922, and in 1965 it was integrated into the Danish higher-education system with state funding while keeping its own legal personality. Its Frederiksberg campus grew around Henning Larsen's Dalgas Have (1988) and the Solbjerg Plads main building (1999–2000). One of only two Danish schools with the triple-crown accreditation of EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB, CBS is among the most prestigious business schools in Europe.
