About University of Southern Denmark

The University of Southern Denmark was established in 1998 through the merger of Odense University, the Southern Denmark School of Business and Engineering and the South Jutland University Centre, with further institutions folded in over the following decade, including the Odense engineering college in 2006. Through its roots in Odense University it is Denmark's third-oldest university, and with 29,674 enrolled students as of 2016 also the third-largest. Its campuses stretch across Southern Denmark and Zealand, it runs joint programmes with the universities of Flensburg and Kiel across the German border, and its ties with regional industry are strong.
