Audencia Business School is a French grande école founded in Nantes in 1900 as the École Supérieure de Commerce de Nantes. Until 1970 it occupied the building that now houses the city's natural history museum, then moved to a purpose-built campus opposite Nantes University. The name adopted in 2000 blends the Latin audientia, 'listening', with audacia, 'boldness'. Among the 1% of business schools worldwide holding the triple accreditation of AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB, and associated with the UN Global Compact since 2004, it teaches 7,800 students from nearly 90 countries.
