Durham University Business School is the business school of Durham University, holding triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. Business teaching at Durham dates back to 1913, when a faculty of commerce was established at Armstrong College, and the university founded its Business Research Unit in 1960. Following Lord Franks's 1963 report on management education, the first courses under the name Durham University Business School were launched at Easter 1965 at Bede College, making it one of the oldest business schools in the UK alongside Alliance Manchester. When the Conference of University Management Schools was formed in 1971, Durham was one of its twelve founder members.
