Warwick Business School is the business school of the University of Warwick, the public research university founded in 1965 on the outskirts of Coventry as part of a government initiative to expand British higher education. The school itself was established in 1967, two years after the university took its first undergraduates, and grew with an institution that under Vice-Chancellor Lord Butterworth became the first UK university to adopt a business approach to higher education and cultivate close links with industry. Warwick belongs to the Russell Group and holds AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS membership; alongside its 290-hectare campus, it keeps a central London base at the Shard.
