Henley Business School is affiliated with the University of Reading, formed by merging the previously independent Henley Management College — originally the Administrative Staff College — with the University of Reading's existing business school. As a result it occupies two sites: the Greenlands Campus near Henley-on-Thames, on the banks of the Thames, and the Whiteknights Campus in Reading. The Administrative Staff College was set up in 1945 as a civilian equivalent of the military staff colleges, and ran its first Masters in Business in 1974. By 2002 it had achieved triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, and in 2008 it merged with Reading to form the present school.
