Paris Dauphine University - PSL was founded on 24 October 1968 in the Palais Dauphine — the building at Porte Dauphine that served as NATO headquarters until France left the alliance's military structure in 1966. Designated an experimental university, it was among the very few in France to select students by Baccalauréat results, and in 2004 became a grand établissement, making that selectivity legal by charter. Specialised in the organisation and decision sciences — law, economics, finance, mathematics, management — it gained EQUIS accreditation in 2009, co-founded PSL in 2011 and has been a constituent college of PSL University since 2019.
