Rennes School of Business was founded in 1990 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rennes, in Brittany's capital — young by grande école standards, and deliberately built as France's international outlier: 50% of on-campus students and 85% of faculty come from outside France, representing over 100 nationalities, with most courses taught in English. The campus grew building by building through the 2010s, and in September 2021 the school opened a Paris campus in the 9th arrondissement.
