WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is a private German business school founded in 1984 by the Koblenz Chamber of Commerce as the Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Unternehmensführung. In 1993 it took the name of its benefactor Otto Beisheim, after his donation of 50 million Deutsche Mark. Doctoral studies began in 1986; an executive MBA with Kellogg School of Management launched in 1997, and EQUIS accreditation followed a year later, with FIBAA and AACSB membership after that. Deliberately small — around two thousand students across campuses in Vallendar and Düsseldorf — it is one of Germany's most selective business schools.
