The Carroll School of Management is the business school of Boston College, in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Founded in 1938 as the College of Business Administration — its first classes met that September in downtown Boston, with an advisory committee of more than thirty Boston and New York businessmen — it took its current name in 1989 in honour of the industrialist and alumnus Wallace E. Carroll, whose $10 million donation was then the largest private grant in the university's history. Housed in the collegiate-gothic Fulton Hall, the school grants Bachelor of Science, MBA and PhD degrees alongside Master of Science programmes in finance and accounting.
