The McDonough School of Business is the business school of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and one of the university's nine constituent schools. It was founded in 1957 as an outgrowth of Georgetown's famed School of Foreign Service — a diplomatic heritage that still marks its outlook — launched its undergraduate business degree that same year and its full-time MBA in 1981, and added executive education in 1988. Since 1998 it has carried the name of alumnus Robert Emmett McDonough, in recognition of his $30 million donation. The school grants both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
