About Princeton (Bendheim MFin)

Princeton University, founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey, is the fourth-oldest institution of higher education in the United States and one of the nine colonial colleges chartered before the American Revolution; it became a university in 1896. Its endowment of $37.7 billion is the largest per student in the country, funding a deliberately intimate scale: approximately 9,000 students on a 600-acre campus, taught through a residential college system. As of 2025, 81 Nobel laureates, 16 Fields Medalists and 17 Turing Award winners have been affiliated with Princeton, whose graduate finance teaching runs through the Bendheim Center for Finance.
