About Bari Aldo Moro

The University of Bari was founded in 1925 in the Apulian capital, its seat in the historic palazzo on Piazza Umberto I at the heart of the modern city. On 15 January 2010 it took the name of Aldo Moro — the statesman and five-time prime minister who studied law there until 1939 and taught philosophy of law and criminal law on its faculty in the early 1940s. With around 40,000 students, it is southern Italy's reference university on the Adriatic side.
